A STUDY IN
PURPLE

A student magazine dedicated to the exhibition of talent, passion and identity. We aim to produce engaging and informative multi-form media for the students of Putney High School, showcasing their own work in a fun way.

We are happy to introduce this website as a portal to get to know our values and interact with our work as a school: explore the pages and find your own way to contribute and enjoy the publication through our semesterly issues, bimonthly bulletins and brand new games and polls!

Magazine Issues

Each term, we collate the work of students across the whole of Putney High School in a publication called ASIP (A Study In Purple). The magazine acts as a platform for pupils to showcase their writing, art, and ideas, celebrating the diverse voices within our school community, with every issue serving as a display not only of talent, but also the passion and enthusiasm that makes our school unique.

As the magazine grows and evolves each year, it finds new leadership and direction: with every sixth form team involved in running it comes a change, and hence is born a  magazine that is constantly new and refreshing, reflecting the ever-changing nature of school life.

As we embark upon the seventh year of ASIP, its leadership team aims to be as REVOLUTIONARY as its first issue ;)

Bimonthly Bulletin

Twice a month, we publish a news-style bulletin, filled with interesting headlines from recent stories. We aim to include a broad variety of topics (ranging from discussion about politics to pop culture to STEM), in digestible, fun bites for when you don't have the time to read longer pieces.

The articles are written by the sub-editors of the ASIP team, and exhibit our own interests, much as the magazine is a vessel for student talent and passion. Look out for recurring columns submitted by clubs, and contact us if you would also like to be involved!

Games and Polls

Along with our bimonthly bulletins, we produce a themed “Connections” game, with words individual to our school. Find the link sent to your inbox every other Monday, or look out for the new game on the website!

We also send out polls with every issue (results to be published in the following bulletin) on controversial issues or relevant debates in current affairs. Anyone who submits an answer to a poll is automatically entered into a ballot, with a prize for the winner each publication!
